On January 29-31, Highland Academy hosted the annual Acrofest, a gymnastics clinic for students in grades 5-12. Southern Adventist University brought their Gym-Masters team who gave instruction, helped with technique, and practiced with the visiting students. On Saturday evening, each participating school performed, there were various contests, and it was thrilling to see who could be thrown to the top of the gym ceiling. This year Audrey Covrig pinned the beam with a huge smile. Attendance went up from last year’s 250 attendees to over 300 attendees at this year’s festivities. A fantastic time was had by all.
